Fight inflammation and infection without heat or antibiotics.
Periowave™ is ideally suited for those patients with 4 - 9 mm pockets that bleed on probing. Periowave™ should be used following a thorough debridement (SRP) once post-instrumentation bleeding has been controlled. Successive (recall) treatments may benefit from light manual debridement prior to treatment. Treat each defect separately, and check the contralateral side of the tooth, especially at interproximals, as these sites may benefit from additional photodisinfection. Long-term results can be significantly enhanced by a follow-up treatment 3-6 weeks after the first treatment. Patient outcomes should include a reduction or elimination of bleeding on probing, reduced inflammation, an improvement in gingival tissue tone and texture, a reduction in pocket depth and gain in clinical attachment level.
